So it is not full starving.

Still it is possible that the male just flew away earlier. It is his very first breeding and he doesn't know how to behave. If young females lay the eggs and then refuse to incubate them, why can't an unexperienced male fly away before the storklets grow?

........HU BS expert Mr. B. Kalocsa says:
- yesterday it was feeding
- 2 food delivery is enough now
(previous year, 3 storklet: in Juni - 4x and more, )
That 2 supplies can be enough, I wrote in the HU chat a few days ago.. But then has to be brought enough food. And in this great heat they desperately need water. I do not see that here at the nest. It is just as hot as in Poland or eastern part of Germany.

But Sara is doing her best. :2thumbsup:

...Asteria, I think no so. Something bad happened to him. He was very good father.

...I think so too. He may have an injury to an electric line...There are many opportunities, why he can not come anymore. But he would never leave the chicks alone. He comes from Africa only to brood. Lots of effort for that ...

Good morning freshmen! There was no rain yesterday and today it is not expected. The warmth will be today at 37 ° C. Now it is 19 ° C. Yesterday we had 3 feeds, so we can still be satisfied today. The Danube is moderately flooding. The camera also works, adult stork is not in the nest now.
that will be very hot
