Badger Castle on Saaremaa

Post by Felis silvestris »

The Red Deer Camera was moved to a new place. Netmaster wrote:

There is no direct sunlight for recharging batteries, no internet connection - only trees and hundreds meters of cables from place where deer cam was.

Already on the first evening the first badger came down the hill:

That is a very warming news, lol. I could only wish, that the cam position would be bit brighter, that the surrounding area could be more viewable. But that's ok :)
They only have to rename the cam then - a badger camera, lol.

This is one of many badger castles indeed.
About half km. deep into same forest what was visible in deer cam background.
There is no direct sunlight for recharging batteries, no internet connection - only trees and hundreds meters of cables from place where deer cam was. Will see, if and how well it works ...

Thank you, netmaster.
I am very pleased that there are badgers. Badgers are not easy to observe.

Thank you for information, netmaster.
Was wondering about the view change, but now I'm very curios and hoping to see a badger soon.

forget the view, without badgers, it is just a big pile of dirt. I like the sound.
It is interesting, because deer cam was so quiet and now we can hear so many bird voices ...

Thanks for the information, so our guess was right.
Springtime is wonderful for keeping the cams on just to hear the birdsong. Not much need for action!
