Not yet, they climbed with beak and claws the trunks to get on top of the box
Look at this, last year => viewtopic.php?f=16&t=648&start=4300
Parents will continue to feed into the branches above the box, and two young owlets will be able to exercise their wings (finally freely)

Yes, they did it, but it seems that the food is really very rare this year for the owlets

I remember 2 years ago owlets calling for food from the window. I don't think that time the situation was any better. The owlets were not as big as Kaira, nobody could fit with her in the window!

I can relate to that. First year I was watching ospreys by myself, discussing it with others is much better!

May be, but why 2 chicks did not survive? I know that the latest one had no chance to survive

There is no doubt there was not enough food for all 5 of them, just for the last 2. Last 2 days they were not fed well, but they are already big, I think they'll be fine.
Kaira and Tarmo, have a great life! :loveshower:

I miss our little owlets and their parents so very much. There is a big hole now in my interest of watching a cam.
Only to show the difference in the size of the little owlets while sitting in their window I have here one picture from 2014:
Image
Both eaglets were to see often sitting and watching together in 2014.
This year the window was full with one eaglet sitting there. Since eaglets get names and I never know who is who I stopped to put pictures here. But I am interested like the years ago and when I have transfered my taken pics to another hardware it showed me that I have exactly 3000 pics taken with Klaara, Klaus and the babies.
I am looking forward now to the next saison.

In the early morning hours, after the above night, they were very happy. At first 1 was hungry and later, both were singing loudly like you love to hear them.
I just saw your msg now.

I'll try to listen this night if i'll remember.

14. Mai
22:56 It is so quiet. Some birds are chirping around. Kaira and Tarmo are out from the nestbox since 4 days. Now, I am again at home in this evening. I hope that the 2 owlets will be strong for their life and I wish their a good and long life and still enough food. Maggy, thank you and all the over members. I hope, we see us all again in the next season! Bye

oliv, we can't promise that Renno has got the time to go there and look for the owlets. It is not that close for him and the eagle men are having their usual busy spring time right now! We also don't know if there will be a continuation of the cam like last year, it was a test last year. We have to be patient and see what's going to happen.

Last years Renno went there at the end of May. I don't remember how was it in 2010 but all the other years he always made the pics of owlets outside the nestbox.
