They said that the male badger is called Tõnis.
Zoologist and photographer Tiit Hunt says in Ringvaade that there are several badger dens in this “castle”-hill with more than 30 entrances. Each den has a lot of underground passages and chambers and may be used for tens of years. At first the den is shown that is not in use, the other has fresh footprints. Tiit Hunt had a close encounter with a badger years ago and even felt its sourish breath. This encounter made him love these sweet and very cleanliness-loving animals who constantly carry in fresh bedding and remove soiled bedding which is witnessed to be true.
