I heard it earlier this morning. At this site an imitation is not likely, because that probably would be by a close singing Starling. I only have heard fledgeling Starlings. Golden oriole is loud enough to be heard here in the reeds.

Many times today a calling Water rail close to the cam. Sometimes deafening loud. Perhaps there also were calling chicks. But I have seen nothing of it.

I listened to this video again and the crow was probably not the threat, because part of the calls are of the type crows use when they encounter a bird of prey.

I used GT to translate the introduction to Dutch. It was remarkably readable and clear. Except for one sentence. It said that there were three live-events full of "dirty seasons"...
