If it wasn't a parakeet I don't know what it was, even allowing for distortion of the sound. I thought it worth including in the list.
It was not a Rose-ringed parakeet.

I heard it earlier this morning. At this site an imitation is not likely, because that probably would be by a close singing Starling. I only have heard fledgeling Starlings. Golden oriole is loud enough to be heard here in the reeds.Marfo wrote:9:37 I just heard a Golden Oriole. Or it was an imitation by some bird...

Many times today a calling Water rail close to the cam. Sometimes deafening loud. Perhaps there also were calling chicks. But I have seen nothing of it.

The Black Stork camera also has this problem for some days now.

According to a message from LDF on YouTube they are aware of the problem.

Pity. Even without the Bitterns the sounds were great.

A proper finale of this cam is this Water Rail recorded two days ago.

In the background also Savi's Warbler, Eurasian Reed Warbler, Great Reed Warbler and another Water Rail.

I listened to this video again and the crow was probably not the threat, because part of the calls are of the type crows use when they encounter a bird of prey.Liz01 wrote:May 11 8:42 Alarrm at the nest. Crows are near and call ...

Thanks, Biker, interesting. Pity it is in Latvian.
I used GT to translate the introduction to Dutch. It was remarkably readable and clear. Except for one sentence. It said that there were three live-events full of "dirty seasons"...
..and in German: "böser Jahreszeiten"..
Very versatile language, Latvian.

yes Marfo. But sometimes it is helpful (for my goal German) to take a detour over the English language.
