Good morning everyone, 497 flew to the rear of the oak when she left the nest the second time. She may have left, but it is difficult to see the rear area as it is blocked by leaves.

No sign of Aran yet. 497 appeared to head towards Ynysfor in the Visitor Centre direction when she left and we have seen her over here previously.

An osprey passed the Visitor Centre up the valley carrying a fish at 14.14.
Aran was just heard with his shrill call.
Aran is behind the branch on the nestPTZ

497 was present early morning, but left the perch headed towards
Porthmadog shortly before 10.00.
Aran was seen heading up the valley towards the nest carrying a fish early afternoon and minutes later we heard him call. After a search we eventually found him hiding in a rear branch of the oak tree.
Has 497 finally begun her migration?

Thanks seira! Now it looks like all are gone!
The big flounder was 497 last meal before she left the area. In the early morning she took the tail, because the day before she was stuffed too much.
Amazing that there was no crow for a steal.

I wish all five members from the family of 2022 a good and save flight, many fishes on their way. I really hope we can all see again!

It was a great season after the tragic and sad the year before.

No further sightings of 497 since Tuesday morning, so it looks as though she has now begun her migration.
Volunteer Gail Edgley was out searching for ospreys on the estuary yesterday afternoon and she timed her visit to fit in with the same state of the tide we had seen Aran fishing in during recent days, which is around three hours after high tide. Gail spotted a male osprey high overhead and he appeared to be un-ringed. There also appeared to be a slight gap in the primaries of the right wing, suggesting it might be Aran.
Will he appear at the nest again before he leaves? We certainly hope so.

It is looking as though the whole Glaslyn Osprey family have now
migrated. We will be keeping a close watch over the weekend though, just in case Aran should put in an appearance.
During the winter months while the ospreys are in their winter homes, you can continue to watch the Glaslyn Valley through the changing
seasons. The Glaslyn nest cameras will continue to run and we have
enabled a second live stream from Pont Croesor, where our new 4K cameras will show the wildlife on the Afon Glaslyn with the stunning backdrop of the mountains of Eryri. On a clear night there are amazing views of the night sky.
Both live streams can be found on our YouTube channel, please follow the link below and choose your favourite view.

Here is a video of when we last saw the remaining three ospreys on the Friends of the Ospreys Pont Croesor nest on Friday 9 September.
Z2 / "Aeron" delivered a flounder to the nest at 09:12 and the eldest chick claimed the fish. Around two hours later the youngest chick took over the tail end of the fish and flew off with it at 11:14. The eldest chick remained on the perch until 11:31 before also leaving. There were no further sightings of the Pont Croesor family, although it is likely that Z2 remained in the area for a day or so to ensure his daughters didn't need any more fish supplies.

We have received fabulous news from Senegal!
Blue KC4, the youngest of the 2020 Glaslyn chicks, has been resighted once again in the same area of the Casamance that she was seen on several occasions last winter.
Thank you so much to Joanna Dailey for sharing these wonderful images of KC4 taken yesterday.
