And really beautiful Black kites.
20:29 all three were busy. The one in the background cleaned its feathers. The one in front is alternately busy with prey and a twig.
,,,the third lifted its wings..

Hello to all! :hi:
Buzzard nest

15:46:45 Juki brought the prey (mole?), Kriksis grabbed it and defended the food with all his might! Bosiks flew after Juki.

Nice video, olgapyat, thanks! I was thinking that scary animal was a marten, not a squirrel. But now I'm not so sure.

yitmoth, Thank! :loveshower:
I see this squirrel for the 4th time. The first time, when Golda was sitting on her eggs. This is definitely a squirrel. The marten is not so red.
So I wrote down the marten in another nest.

Yes, you're right :whistling:

Meanwhile, E87 has just climbed up the tree again (17:33).

Things are happening fast!

Image

E87 went up the tree for a third time at 19:13. Then at 19:19 E95 followed.

Image

One of them jumped down again at 19:33, but I haven't seen its ring yet. (PS It was E95. Then at 19:44 E87 jumped down too, almost landing on E93. )

Image

(It's getting late here now, so hopefully others will post screenshots and/or video of any further happenings.)

July 5

Black kite camera:
Good afternoon,

13:43 One of the chicks fell out of the tree! Two of them were up the tree, then they both came down. One landed inthe nest, the other just outside. He flapped with his wings but didn't find a grip.

I think he is on a branch below, if I understand the chat.

Olgapyat, Yitmoth, and Marfo, thank you for your post pictures and videos.
I have been following this nest, and I love it!
Interesting, that they eat fish, among other prey. I’m learning so much.

Thank you, Marfo, for stating the time that the older bird fell from the branch.
