Re: Estonian Tawny Owl Webcam 2017
Yes, it is 'cause it was too small to fly out. Yesterday I checked the cam seasons from all the years we watched(2009-10 and 2013-16), all the owlets left the nestbox at 32-34 days...except Small. Even Tiny from 2009, the only ever survived fourth owlet, left the nest at the age of 34 days.

Was not at home last days and sadly had not really time for the forum ... only sometimes lurking what Small is doing.
You're all welcome!
Video from yesterday, Small is working for a pellet ... for me it looks like so. Sorry, don't know if I'm right and how to label the clip, maybe you can help me

Maggy!
I came in to tell you that Small is not far and is calling for long time.
During the day I didn't hear him because of other birds and perhaps he was quiet, in shock of the new world.
I hope K will find some goodies, eatable on the branch.

Since 05:00 It was open, but didn't hear them; other birds were singing morning songs.
They have to be tired and sleeping.

Good to know about Bo, Cessie!
Thanks for your reports, Abigyl!
Yes they know that after 4 am nobody would feed them already.
When I was watching Small in the box, they would call a lot at the beginning of a night knowing that closer to morning nobody would feed them already and after 4 am they wouldn't call for food and just make some hungry sounds if hungry. That's why they call so much at the beginning of a night.
6:49 a starling comes into the window and shows a tail for a while
6:50 jumps into the box
gets back into the window
6:52 leaves
