The Osprey nest is located in Latvia in Kurzeme region. This nesting area is known since 1989. In 2007 artificial nest was build in pine tree and in 2010 the first Osprey couple inhabited it. From 2012 to 2015 one to three chicks was raised in the nest. In 2016 the nest was inhabited, but with no chicks. In years, when the nesting was successful, none of the adult birds was ringed, so the origin of the birds was unknown.

Osprey couple was named Tina and Teo from members of Latvian forum.

Still no ospreys in sight, but a young White tailed Eagle hooligan visited the nest and showed intense interest in the camera equipment

It was already sitting and rustling upstairs before it came down on the nest

Osprey on the nest, with red Latvian ring, but I doubt I can extract the numbers ...

It came down from the cam support ... no chance to read the ring - it prefers to stay an incognito osprey
