It was Bubo. It is difficult to distinguish them by appearance but the characteristic uhu-sounds makes the male.
Now he is sitting not far away from the nest and still hooting.

Thanks Bea!
...and thanks Sikora.
I can but imagine.
I have not seen both together yet. Unfortunately, I did not observe this nest last year.
Lets see how it goes on.

Bubo was in the nest from 20.53 to 20.59.
Now he is sitting somewhere nearby and hooting all the time.
Unfortunately for a few days Bo has not appeared in the nest. She has been not heard either.
For me it does not look promising for eggs this season.

20:53
Only the soft noise of the webcam microphone...a few cracks in the branches but no calling.
I looked this afternoon and I think a hole is forming in the nest?
So there must be visitors.
Edit:
Sikora, I heard nothing.
I also think that both are very difficult. I have never seen both and rarely.
What could be the reason?
Maybe you need a little more spring feeling?
I hope so!

This nest seems to be abandoned. I also hear no shouts.
But maybe it will help when spring finally comes....
I hope.

It's been in the nest for a long time. I just looked again. But I was still scared... halloween in the eagle owl nest?
What's that?

Leg of egret (Ardea alba). Eagle Owl's prey from previous year.

Egret? How can you distinguish it from a Grey Heron’s leg?

Yes Liz, I remember it too!
Too bad nobody is here so far this year, but maybe it is still too cold for them!
