Short info about another current "event" at an Estonian nest .... it is planned that Black Storklets shall get their rings and transmitters (backpacks) today around 10 a.m. - so it can happen any moment now.
Eaglemen only have to wait until parent birds are far away from the nest.
Thank you very much, Bea, for this information! The storklets are so brave...
Irma brought a huge branch to strengthen the walls of the nursery before they fledge
This was an interesting episode. I made a video.
After Irma arrived a common housework began. After 7 minutes Irma left to the dead tree, before she was pecked a little at her feathers by (probably) XH.
The middle part of the video is time-lapse, beginning and end are real time.
I just looked (22:39). Everything's ok.
Sometimes they just don't move and you rarely can see them breathing.
Thank you, mogga and sunshine! Now, I've seen, that all of them are fine.
Yesterday evening (around 21.20) was it XH who frightened me because she layed about 10-15 min moveless (in front) during the others rested only a few seconds and where more activliy.
