Once again we forward images from the Vilsandi National Park grey seal monitoring camera. After a third restoration attempt the system that had been damaged by storms has been almost wholly renewed. Not having a seal camera running in the Seal Year would be embarrassing …
It is the birthing period for the grey seals. The pups are in their white ”baby furs”, the females in flecked coats, and somewhat smaller than the dark males.
Grey seals are vociferous and mobile. We will soon introduce the events in camera view and the lifestyle of the largest marine mammals in more detail.
