Stop worrying. Durbert is hungry off course. But he's not starving. Yesterday afternoon he ate to fishes. And with his well fed body, as a single eaglet, he will manage for Moore than 2-3 days without food.
Water they can get from leaves or in this case pine needles when it's raining or from morning dew.
And his parents hear him calling and will surely bring something to eat before sunset.
Be yourself, there's enough of all the other

asteria wrote:Anyway it is a terrible stress for the birds and better no ringing at all than getting such a result.
asteria, please don't restart the discussion about bird ringing here again. already yesterday morning i asked that this discussion should be moved elsewhere, see here:
viewtopic.php?p=392289#p392289

if someone has too much energy to be consumed only in Ranting then i suggest is to start a petition for banning ringing. there is a suitable topic for this purpose, too.
i'll look up the address in a minute. ... here's the address. i'll ask one of our admins to open a new topic there.
viewforum.php?f=82
ps. i shall not sign that kind of petition should one be presented.

Robert brought a fish! :loveshower:

before he landed he kicked the side branch on the right. that was strange. maybe he wanted to scare out bogeymen out of the nest before landing..? :puzzled:
first around the nest

then another round and the kick.

17:03 then he brought the fish.

17:17 eagle's calls and a parent flew by. Durberts stopped eating and he is looking back...
actually the parent was flying back and forth, or both are flying there. (i guess it's Durbe who is hesitating whether to come home or not)
