10:34 Raimis brought a thick stick! that looks wet and very heavy. i think that he found this stick on the ground.
Image

10:35 he went to the outer left branch. he is not really in the working mood.

10:53 he looks sleepy on that branch.

10:55 he flew away.

10:56:22 they both sang in the forest, not very near this time.

14:48 a nuthatch took me by surprise: he came to the nest without a sound! :rotf:
Image

only after this he went downstairs and began to make voices and band the sticks.

there are at least two nuthatches, one roaming in the basement of the nest and the other on the top and on the high branch.

14:56:08 one of them peeked at the camera.

December 26

Good Morning! :D
Thanks for reporting :2thumbsup:
ame, in the video.. I think it was a eagle.

6:34 Tawny Owl male
6:34:38 A dog and another animal
6:35 Tawny owl male
6:37 the dog and the tawny owl male are still calling-barking. I think I hear the female as well. But she makes very short calls.

8:09 it's getting bright

I'm going to the Baltic Sea now. I'll be there in 3 hours

Have a nice day with our eagles

yes, it was Milda.

9:07 there was a loud crashing sound and then a squirrel called. :puzzled:
about half a minute later Raimis flew by on the left side.
Image

9:08 he brought a stick. Milda came down to the nest and they worked together a little.
9:09 Raimis went to the outer left branch and wiped his beak. then he jumped to the top branch and cleaned his beak more. Milda arranged nest materials.
9:10 she jumped to the left branch.

14:41 a greater spotted woodpecker flew to the top and called there for almost 3 min before she came to the left branch. she went to the backside of the rim and worked there for a while. then she flew to the right branch.
Image

from there she flew to the branch which right outside the picture. i think she probably worked with cones there.

14:51 (nearly) she flew away.

15:07 i hear men talking in the forest. this does not sound like hunting. they have no dogs.

15:15 the voices went farther. i could not see them.
15:17 still more voices...
edit: i think i found where they came to the meadow.
Image

15:19 footsteps ... and cracking sticks.

15:24:20 a big crack. they keep talking and walking.
15:26 are they gone?

15:29 they came closer. a man with a white coat walks behind the kingfisher.
at least three men. they were talking on the right.
i marked here with a yellow circle and 3 exclamation marks the place where could count three men walking one after the other.
Image

15:35 they are perhaps going away. they break a lot of sticks and branches on their way. a lot of noise.

15:42 no more voices. :faint:
a greater spotted woodpecker began to call.

i have a feeling that they knew what they came to look at. :slap:
