Thank you! Louis & Dorcha had their first egg on 24th so perhaps another one today - but poor Dorcha has been under attack from the Tawny Owl who nests nearby, another attack this morning 4am. Fortunately the Tawny is much smaller, and is only protecting her own chicks - not like the terrible Goshawks you have, or the deadly Great Horned Owls in the USA.

Good morning to all

06:00 - Camera starts
Miina jumps into the nest, Marko gets up and we see 3 eggs !!!




06:02 - Marko flew away
it must have been a cold night, Miina's plumage is white.

09:30 - Miina has been observing the area for some time
Larger bird flies by. I think a buzzard is calling


09:34 - Marko with dry grass, Miina flies away immediately


09:37/38 - is it possible that Miina calls in the distance?
no, I do not think so

09:49 - Crows *play* with each other

Marko got scared and flew away


10:27 - he lands again, a little uncertain


Marko is restless, frantically watching all sides of the nest.
What I've observed all these years since I've been watching this nest is; Marko gets nervous in strong winds.
