A rare case in which I filmed a nest of Turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur) with lots of chicks, only because it has built it well in sight from the slit of an existing shed

Hello together, Biker! :hi:
Feeding in Makov continues at full speed.

I don't know if the owl still appears here at night sometimes? But otherwise there is the usual crowd here. :2thumbsup:

Rare male Cardinal with yellow feathers accenting the red. Great Spirit Bluff at La Crescent, MN. explore.org

I don't know where else this can go. This is a very rare male Cardinal. Males are red with black on their faces unless there is a pigment issue. This bird is red with the black face but he also has yellow on him which is very unusual. There have been a few or one yellow one spotted in the past but none that I am aware of that are red and yellow, both. I hope he can remain in the area as Cardinals are on the Peregrine Falcon's menu.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

December 25th

Good evening everyone! And still a little happy Christmas... :innocent:

Anyone who is interested in bats can see them here.
Fruit bats - I've never heard of them myself or no current live stream yet. Something different. A good thing!

From the info corner of the stream:
This is an Egyptian Fruit bat roost is located in the Tel Aviv University.
The bats are free to come and go as they please so you will find them mainly during the day while they rest and not during the night when they forage.
...
The camera was added and maintained by the Charter Group Birdcams/ Charter Group of Wildlife Ecology (The Shamir Research Institute and the Department of Geography and Environmental Science of the University of Haifa) and funded by a private donor in cooperation with the Bat Lab for Neuro- Ecology. The Neuroecology Lab of the Tel Aviv University aims to bridge the gap between Neuroscience and Ecology is led by Prof. Yossi Yoval. Maybe this place is something interesting for the one or other. :innocent:
It is possible that some of “our” migratory birds also visit such places in Spain and other southern countries.
