We are having a major winter storm here, 10 to 15cm of snow by dinner tonight, possibly more!
We were supposed to spend the morning with our daughter and grandsons, but had to cancel.

[ color=#008040] LIKE THIS [/color]
But I put a space before the first word color so you can see what I mean, rather than see the colour itself! Just to confuse us more, this forum software uses American spelling (color) and I am English (colour)
It's fun, isn't it?

Here is an explanation of why the weather will get colder in the next few days - it has to pass over Estonia on its way to UK!
Underneath that article, there is a beautiful picture of a swan, which is why I wanted to post this!

The topic of avatars has been raised, so here is a moment to consider something!
viewtopic.php?p=10432#p10432
Juta's comment about your avatar made me think about avatars in general. When the Introduction and Welcome were being written, there had not seemd a reason to discuss avatars. Now might be a good time to think about our own avatars - are they in keeping with the general atmosphere of this forum? Does it reflect our commitment to the natural world?
Verlit's avatar is suggestive of a natural way of life - making use of the wool a sheep provides for us!.

I haven't heard of this style of work before now. Where can I learn what needle felting is?

at least for my opinion.
the point of a avatar is to be like a statement," hello, here i am and that`s the way i like people see me"
as far as i know, people have different avatars if they follow different forums

for ex.i can be a fan of "Harley Davidson" and like knitting also.
would be weird(possibly funny too) to use a knitted sock as the avatar at motofans forum

and i think that here any avatars with political statements can`t be allowed.
