Kerli has no more food. She is waiting for Kergu.


The eggs were laid:

1. egg on 21.4.2025, 00:06, hatch 24.05.
2. egg on 22.4.2025, 23:35
3. egg on 24.4.2025, 22:41
4. egg on 27.4.2025, 02:02

The eggs are 33, 31 and 28 days old.

The empty half of the eggshell was not removed from the nest.
It is in the nest trough and is pressed flat.



09:03 Kerli airs, she stretches and does ps.

She steps on an egg. Perhaps she has mistaken the egg for the empty eggshell.



She realises and pulls the empty eggshell further out of the nesting trough. But she doesn't pull it out of the nest.



Kerli covers all again.

09:58 Kerli airs. She has no more food. Kergu should be coming to the nest soon.

10:15 Kergu is back. Greeting.
Kerli flies away.

The little one is eating and is already stretching out quite a bit.





The chick has eaten a lot.
Kergu waits patiently and then takes some of the rest of the food back.

I hear the chick chirping and egg talk. I just can't see where the egg is.
In the meantime, not only one egg has a spot.
It could be the egg, as Kergu no longer rolls this egg so much.



It's just too far away. However, I don't know whether a zoom works
and whether a zoom also hits what it should enlarge.

The little one ate, but it was impossible to tell whether it was enough.
But it was probably a bite.

The chick is not in a very good position. It is trapped by the eggs.

The chick was in a good position. There were a few bites that fitted.





Kerli gave 2 portions and took back what was not eaten.

Our little guy sure has a healthy appetite!

It's nice that the parents offer different types of food. After all, the chicks only eat what fits.
It all looks very, very good.
