They changed places.
14:16 Kati preens the male.
15:14 The male leaves
15:17 The male comes IN with moss
15:18 The male flies out.
(I fear he is on his way to buy 6 little cradles. He tends to exaggerate a bit in everything he does.

)

I think the name should begin with "K" and it should remind us of our dear Karl
I found "Kalev" - this is my proposal

Indeed male came home 22:18, very interesting because it was totally dark.
"Kalev" has night vision
You can hear dogs barking all the time, so this place is not far from people.

April 17
Good morning everybody
06:00 Kati still cuddles in the cozy nest,
while the hard working "Man" is already busy at work outside
Kati up in her royal residence looking at her precious 3 eggs
here comes the diligent male,
one could see him flying in between the trees in a loop to the nest

Kalev is the son of lesser spotted eagles(2012). But not a single bird has a name Peter. Why stick to letter K?

Hello everyone
So nice that people are suggesting names already
Estonian version of Peter is Peeter. I like Kalev too, this name is related to estonian mythical epic poem and is a strong character. But there is no rule to stick to letter K.

So many names!
I think we should remember that our new male stork already has a name, officially recorded in LK -
https://www.looduskalender.ee/n/en/node/3350 and bestowed by Urmas.
I and others are in favour of retaining that name. We are going to need our ingenuity when it is time to find names for this year's juveniles so please continue to think of suitable names for that time. Then, there will be a separate topic, as always, for choosing names, then voting for the preferred names.
I expect that there may be some members who do not want to keep the already-given name, but I ask for your generosity to allow this. It reflects our sadness at the loss of the original Karl, and is a mark of respect for him.
Karl II or Karl the Second is a very worthy successor to this nest.
