Whooper swan family in beaver pond. Karula highland.
At least one whooper swan pair has nested very successfully in Estonia, although they are mainly known as passing migratory birds here: whooper swans in Ilmatsalu have been seen with seven cygnets. The whooper swan, with a yellow beak and of similar size as the mute swan, is a bird of the northern lands, but the southern limit of its nesting territory is steadily moving towards south.
