Accident with happy ending

Never mind that the animal was young, it was clever enough. It pressed through the ice to a chalkstone shallows, and from there it was not much of a problem to get up on solid ice. Let’s hope that everything is in order. The underfur of moose is so dense that it maybe even didn’t get wet, and the adrenaline surge from the shock should have been enough to keep it from getting too cold. The body temperature of moose is quite high; on running to the mainland its fur should have dried quickly with the movement. It may certainly have some abrasions and bruises, but wild animals in general have very strong and resilient organisms.
