A great number of viewers have been interested in the doings of our everyday familiar birds. Hopefully the curiosity about the activities of the Bird of the Year was also satisfied on some counts.
A second nesting is not quite common among great tits but if it occurs then the male takes care of the chicks that have left the nest – if there is no second nesting both adults share the task. The chicks would manage already today to cover short distances flying.
Wind in your wings! The cameras stay active to observe what happens further on in the nest trunks and boxes.
