Osprey     Pandion haliaetus 

This osprey nest has been observed with a webcam since 2013.

Thanks to our donators we have been able to update the webcam system during this time. Currently, we are using optics with a fairly wide-angle lens, which is why the curvature of the Earth is magnified (compared to human eye). However, the camera lens is thus only 1m from the nest. The nest tree is located in an area with storm damage, where only a few storm-resistant trees have remained.
