Yellow loosestrife
Good habitats are the shore zones of water bodies with a forest “at the back“ – so nutrients taken from the water and seeping out from the forest can both be used. The loosestrife flowers proudly, its golden yellow flowerheads gleam in the evening dusk. The stem of the plant is somewhat hairy and in a good location the height can be almost a metre. Beneath a dense forest canopy the plant often does not flower.
