Daisy-leaf or matricary grape fern.
There is no need to go searching for the magic fern blossom, if you find the daisy-leaf or matricary grape fern, (Botrychium matricariifolium) in the wood, the Midsummer feeling is there. Even looking for the moonwort fern is worth the trouble; although it isn’t so rare, it still takes some searching. Like other ferns, the Bothrycium species don’t flower. They spread by spores.
