At the ringing of the eaglets a photo of Linda could be made, and from this the ring numbers could be read. It turned out that Linda was hatched in 1998, in the Alam-Pedja nature protection area, where she was one of two chicks in the nest. It also turned out that in the beginning of March Linda visited the eagle feeding place, about 20 km north of her nest.

White-tailed eagles who have been ringed inland have only this year been found breeding in western Estonia – Linda is one of three known eagles hatched inland who now have their nests in western Estonia. Moreover, a white-tailed eagle ringed in the Åland Islands has been found nesting in Läänemaa.

The Eagle Club’s aim is to ensure that eagles and black storks shall continue to be part of the Estonian landscape.
