Seashore plants - grass-leaved orache

Grass-leaved orache.

Some of the tough orache species even manage to grow in pure sand. The grass-leaved orache (Atriplex littoralis) can be recognised by its leaves with dentate edges and its tiny yellowish-green flowers. It is interesting that it can also be found growing on kelp heaps. But kelp is well known as a good fertilizer.
