New Camera

 
This year the Winter White-tailed Eagle Feeding Ground Camera starts a little later than in previous years. The camera was installed on December 8, with the assistance of Tiit and Joosep, but we only managed to get the sound in working order in the new year, with the help of Beta Group.

For almost a week elks walked past the forest camera nearly every night. These large, hoofed animals haven’t much winter problems yet, but curiosity takes them there, and a couple of licks from the salt pole is good for the stomach. Interest has been shown in the camera too, and when there was no smell of food, one could at least breathe at the optics and fog them up – let people wonder! There are quite a number of screencaps in the forum from this.
We can only hope that the camera and cables won’t  suffer from  too much forceful treatment.
