April 1: Urmas supervises focusing of the camera.

Urmas and Joosep from Kotkaklubi (Eagle Club) installed a new web camera at the black stork nest on April 1. We will see if the image quality will be even better now. By way of the Mikrotik aerial the signal is transmitted to the teletower 13 km further away, and from there into the optic cable transmission network of Televõrgud. Televõrgud carry the stream to the EENet server, where the image is coded and the stream multiplied as needed for viewers. The power system in the forest is fed by solar energy panels.
NB! To see the video in full screen mode double click on the Media Player
image screen. If watching the video stream doesn’t succeed, the web player (right) may be tried. It allows watching the camera directly from your web browser.
The enterprise is supported by:
- Camera - Mobotix (Estonian representative - Beta Grupp OÜ)
- Aerials (MikroTik), technical installation - Kernel AS
- Image transmission to the EENet server - Televõrgu AS
- Stream allocation, storing of video, server space - EENet
- Solar energy supply solution - TUT Department of Materials Science
... and many other interested parties and the Looduskalender forum.
