Roe deer
Adult roe bucks have antlers during most of the year, but how and when?
In October young bucks have grown the first antler beginnings. In February these usually drop off and “real“ antlers start growing in March-April. For mature bucks the antlers grow in late winter-early spring, and reach their full size already in the beginning of May.
With luck a forest rambler can find shed buck antlers from the beginning of October onwards.
