Hayfield with Sosnovski hogweeds.
The Sosnovski hogweeds (Heracleum sosnowskyi) have grown several meters tall in hayfields and on river banks. They should be avoided - particularly in hot sunny weather their poison causes burning blisters. Children especially should be kept from handling this invasive foreign species. Hogweeds shouldn’t be touched without gloves.
