Senior master Rein Maran is putting the final touches to a film about plants. This is exceptional in its way – screen works aren’t often produced on this theme. Looduskalender had a question to the author:

 

Why a film about plants?

 

Rein Maran: Firstly because, regardless of the richness and variety of the plant kingdom, there are only very few films devoted to them. As the stars of this film I chose 33 plants that should be known and familiar to all, because people have used them from the dawn of time until today to ease pains in body and soul. But how well do we really know them? The film is an excursion into their known but still unknown world. With the film I hope to wake the interest of the viewers and make them want to see and marvel at all this with their own eyes.

 

When and where the official first performance of the film "Keepers Of Seven Powers”, in Estonian "Üheksavägised  (The nine-powered)”, will take place, Looduskalender will let you know.
