The buzzard camera 2016 is a continuation of last year’s Year of the Buzzard project. We saw the same nest, and the same adult birds breeding there then.

The buzzard camera was installed at the nest in the beginning of March. Kotkaklubi (Eagle Club) and the Beta Group did the installation in collaboration. An AXIS F41 camera module is installed at this nest. It is supplied by the Beta Group OÜ and the special microphone that suits the Axis camera is built by the same company. Akupluss (Akukeskus) cares for the camera batteries
The transmission from the nest is by way of a WiFi link. It is set up by our long-time partner in the camera projects, Kernel AS. The Kernel data network is used for transmission; by it the camera images reach the EENet server, where the video stream is split synchronously for distribution to thousands of viewers.
