Osprey Pandion haliaetus

This osprey nest in Tartu County has been intermittently observed via a webcam since 2013.

Thanks to our donors, we have been able to upgrade the webcam system during this time. Currently, we are using a fairly wide-angle lens, which results in exaggerated earth curvature (compared to the human eye). The camera lens is thus only 1 meter away from the nest. The nesting tree is located in an area damaged by storms, where only a few storm-resistant trees remain.
