The black stork nest is occupied by a lesser spotted eagle pair. The pair checked the site out already last year. The nest base is of course large and needed the construction of a new, smaller one. We will see how it will work out. Black Stork came  to see the occupied nest site yesterday. There is a shortage of female black storks.

 

In the white-tailed eagle nest a brave mallard mother has taken over. Many other birds have inspected the nest. A brave enterprise - the white-tailed eagles come to check their nest every now and then...
