White-tailed eagle    Merikotkas        Haliaeëtus albicilla
Already in January white-tailed eagles start visiting their nests more often. In the video we see a 4-5 years old white-tailed eagle without rings. From the nest the bird flew to the right to perch in a tree as if it were settling down for the night. We have unfortunately no idea of whether it was a nest owner or a stranger, nor which eagles that will inhabit this nest.
The eagle examined the surroundings carefully. The gaze of the attentive bird also stopped at the camera lens which however did not bother it particularly.
When visits to the nest become more frequent we will make access to the webcam publicly available.
