Before six in the evening (on April 27) the female lesser spotted eagle laid the first egg. You can observe the event
here. The Forum people have given this pair too names – Remo and Tuuli. The nest belonged to black storks before last summer, but then lesser spotted eagles moved in instead and the nest owner, black stork Padis, wasn’t allowed to be there any longer. Of the lesser spotted eagle nests seen on web cameras this is the first to have an egg. If Remo is good at bringing prey to the nest we will nearly always be seeing Tuuli on the nest until the chick has grown up. Let us hope that all will turn out nicely!
