In Läänemaa, in the WTE nest furnished with a web camera, this year’s nester is a mallard ... She has been coming to the nest at night for a week to lay eggs and probably began brooding today. Interesting to see what will happen if the nest’s owners come home? The white-tailed eagles skipped breeding this year although the nest was nicely put in order. Meanwhile buzzards were there too arranging twigs, but chose to nest in their "own“ nest nearby.

Incubation time is around four weeks. If all turns out well the chicks can be expected to hatch during the last days of May.
