Wild tulips

The wild tulip is the smaller relative of the popular ornamental tulips in our gardens and has become naturalised. The yellow, pointed flowers droop before the flowers open, but when they are open the flowers turn their faces towards the sun.

Non-flowering young plants can invade large areas and bring early spring greenery under park trees.
