Nightingale announces warm nights

Nightingale

NIghtingale Ööbik

Many have heard its song already – have you?
The nightingale is modest in appearance – olive brown plumage, light grey underparts, reddish brown tail and the male and female are very similar. It leads a covert way of life, in dense shrubs or the lower branches of trees. On the ground nightingales move by long jumps like thrushes – tail upright and making small bows with the body. In daytime they avoid flights across open spaces.
Sometimes quite trusting towards people, then you can study it only a few steps away.
