The development of the stork chicks is a pure joy to watch. There is enough water in brooks and ditches, and so also fish fry. The catch brought in by adults Tiina and Tiit and regurgitated for feeding the chicks is extraordinary.

 

In one week progress in moving has been great, wings are being stretched and the smallest chick is  quite energetic at feeding time. Let us hope that it catches up with growing too. The adults already trust leaving the chicks alone in the nest. The weather is warm and the chicks are usually only covered in the night. The oak tree where the nest is has got nice leaves and protects the chicks from scorching sun in the heat wave.
