Nigula bog in November
A beautiful and somewhat mysterious view of nature opens on misty autumn mornings with light wind. Frost particles deposit on twigs and plants when there are a few degrees of cold. The rime has an amorphous or non-crystalline structure; the outer surface is knobbly and created by the freezing of supercooled mist drops: the mist drops freeze very rapidly, without having time to loose their shape. A snow-like deposit is formed consisting of very tiny frozen grains that cannot be discerned with a bare eye.
When the air becomes warmer in the morning a glaze frost, dangerous for drivers, may form.
