Stork-camera junkies
This weekend brought a surprise visit to Estonia of one of the stork camera's main viewers, Jo, from Winchester, England.
On Saturday, August 9th, stork-dependent Estonians (storkaholics) who were able to quickly react, gathered in the Nõmme forest. Those who had communicated on the black-stork forum everyday for one and a half years finally had the chance to meet face to face. Also taking part was the English-language translator, Scott. Sunday, the storkaholics met with me near Jõgeva where we watched a pair of eagles on a hunt. One of them posed quite closely for us.
We took a break on gently sloping hills and the storkaholics' everyday problems were discussed. There were far more questions than I was able to answer. A wonderful group of people! Special thanks to Jo for her visit!
What the storkaholics's observations and discussions can be seen and read on the Hancock Wildlife Channel Discussion Forum.
