ABC of winter garden birds for smart phones
The Estonian Ornithological Society, with the Natural History Museum of the University of Tartu and the Estonian Fund for Nature, have created an application for smart phones for identifying winter garden birds.
In the "ABC of winter garden birds" you will find drawings, brief presentations and characteristic song or calls of 36 of the most common garden birds. The ABC is easy to use and is a great help in identifying bird species.
At present the ABC can be used by Android type mobiles owners (from Android Market, "Talvine aialinnuaabits" (ABC of winter garden birds)), in the beginning of next week Apple products will get their chance. The smart phone application is created by Marko Peterson; technical assistance was provided by Walk & Learn OÜ.
