In the book Peeter Ernits portrays animals that Estonians most often meet: at home, in the country in summer, in a garden, field, forest or at the beach. The smallest animal is less than 3 mm long – a bean aphid. The largest is the elk with a body almost 3 metres long. All others fit nicely in between those two creatures.
The author’s ability to see ordinary things in nature from unexpected aspects and to write enjoyably about it captivates the reader and encourages to take a second look at the nature surrounding us.
A good reason to visit a bookstore!
