Mother Osprey with egg

 

The osprey and his latest "girl friend“ have worked hard for a long time but today at four o’clock in the afternoon an egg was in the nest. "Girl friend“ seems too casual by now – rather his mate.

In the Latvian osprey nest incubation continues. The birds there arrived early and are skilled nesters.

 

The nest  at Osprey Camera 2 will probably remain empty this year. In the next few days the ospreys and their way of life will be introduced.
