Yesterday, September 1, Belarussian eagleman Valeri Dombrovski went to investigate whether Middle was still hanging out near the cow barn at the collective farm where she'd spent the night of August 27th.
Many of us have been researching the area of the collective farm with the aid of three-year old satellite pictures from Google, but now we're able to bring you a situation report directly from the area. The village where Middle landed is properly marked and carries the name Neljubo.

The older portion of the barn has been knocked down, and the pasture roads are just as full of holes as ours.

Valeri was able to meet with the farm workers who were well aware of Middle's visit. They thought there was something wrong with the bird since it sat on the roof and wasn't much afraid of them.

The stork was spotted on the ground, as well, mostly in the vicinity of the water tower (he was likely elsewhere, too, but wasn't seen).

The sight of the strange bird in the vicinity of the barn lasted two or three days and then the stork vanished. Now we must wait a bit until we have new information from Middle and it becomes clear what happened next.
