Raspberry fruits forming

The lifetime of raspberry stems is two years. A stem that grew last year flowers and sets fruit this year and dries to winter. Next year’s harvest we will get from the bristly young stems growing up this year.

The raspberries have flowered for a couple of weeks already, but insects swarm with the same great interest as earlier around the raspberry bushes – it seems that there is enough nectar. We see flowers as well as beginnings of fruits at the same time – so it is possible to collect raspberries more than once.
