Sea milkwort

 

 

The sea water is cold on the north-west coast this year and it affects the air temperature too; the sea milkwort still flowers on both seashores and in shore meadows. The stem of the fleshy plant is densely covered with leaves. The flowers are pale lilac-coloured, in the axils of the intermediate leaves.
