Today the Rõuge Vth mushroom week is history. Six days of mushroom excursions, of completing the exhibition, dyeing yarn with mushrooms, preparing mushroom dishes and of course, long mushroom world  discussions that wait to be continued in Sagadi, Valga, Tartu, Tallinn and wherever else. This event will certainly be here again in one year  in the mushroom capital Rõuge – as ever in the first full week of September.
This year’s harvest in Rõuge amazed even experienced mycologists. The colonies of various Cortinarius species were particularly grand, also those of boletes and fly agarics. In the photo below Vello Liiv kneels at a trio of large cepes (Boletus edulis), the AK (Current Camera at ETV) reporter in turn films him and  Urmas Tartes is of course photographing it all.
